Peter has over 25 years’ experience in financial services and the mortgage intermediary market. Before joining Investec Private Bank in January 2015, Peter has held a number of senior positions at HBOS, GMAC-RFC, start-up lender Portillion, Saffron Building Society and Harrods Bank.
Peter is responsible for building the profile and lending volumes of Investec Private Bank high net worth mortgage offering within the intermediary market. He is regularly quoted in the mortgage trade and national press and writes numerous blogs and articles for the broker community. He also undertakes presentations and seminars and is a regular MC at industry conferences to large audiences on the mortgage market.
Peter won the Mortgage Personality of the Year 2017 at the Financial Reporter Awards and enjoys a high level of profile on various social media platforms.
Peter has been an ardent campaigner in the rails crisis surrounding Southern Rail. He has held numerous meetings with local politicians, has attended as a passenger representative on committees seeking to improve issues and appeared on numerous occasions on TV on the subject.
Outside of work he is a Chair of Governors at his local school and is a season ticket holder at Brighton & Hove Albion. He is also a keen runner and has completed 2 consecutive London marathons. He is also a qualified football referee.
He has to date raised over £25,000 for his chosen charities the latest of which is in memory of his late Mother.
He is also an ambassador for the charity Starfish.
Married with two boys aged 15 and 11 he spends his free time with his family enjoying good food and travel.
